Irene Wechsler Scheduled to Appear on FOX News Los Angeles on Sunday, February 12, 2012
Irene Wechsler, an eldercare expert and the President of Elderink.org, is scheduled to speak with FOX News LA weekend anchor and investigative reporter, Phil Shuman regarding some of the issues surrounding elder care and senior insurance programs that have come under scrutiny since Consumer Watchdog filed a class-action lawsuit earlier this week.
According to report published in the Santa Monica Daily Press on February 9, 2012, the Santa Monica-based protection advocates filed a class action lawsuit on February 7, 2012 on behalf of numerous senior citizens, such as William Hall, who was “allegedly cheated out of thousands of dollars by the Senior Health Insurance Company of Pennsylvania, or SHIP, which refused to honor the long-term care policy he had held with one interruption since 1994.”
Interviewed during Wednesday’s 10 p.m. local newscast, Ms. Wechsler shared her thoughts on the case with Phil Shuman and advised other elders to know what you are buying when you purchase any type of senior care insurance.
Ms. Wechsler’s next appearance on FOX News Los Angeles (KTTV) is scheduled for Sunday, February 12, 2012 during the 10 p.m. newscast.
